Here is a brief summary of how to care for your Chasen (Matcha Whisk):

Soak Before Use: Always soak the bamboo tines in warm water for 30 seconds to 1 minute before whisking to soften them and prevent breakage.

Clean Immediately: Rinse the whisk right after use with warm water only—whisking it gently in the water to remove all matcha residue. NEVER use soap.

Dry and Store: Place the whisk on a Chasen Holder (Kusenaoshi) to help it maintain its shape and allow it to air-dry completely in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold.

Replace When Worn: The Chasen is a consumable item; replace it when the tines become brittle, heavily broken, or severely deformed.
